i'm back at school, back in a routine, and ready to get back to my challenges after a three month hiatus. oops!
for august, i'm doing "six word memoirs." anyone want to join me?
copying from my post the last time we did this:
a good synopsis of this idea can be found in this npr article and book excerpt: http://www.npr.org/t...toryId=18768430
here is a website dedicated to the topic: http://www.sixwordmemoirs.com/
i've mentioned before that i love haikus. i love the brevity of them as it forces the word choices to be so concise. well, the six word memoir is even more so! i guess this is easier or more difficult than the haiku, depending on your perspective.
instead of writing a "life" memoir, though, i am proposing we use the six word memoir to document a photo. this would be a great exercise for creating titles! there are so many things you can do with them too. i'll be blogging mine and then adding them either to my project life album or my one little word album.
i'll be writing one a week this month, so that will add up to four or five for the month. anyone else want to give it a go? you can just try one, or play along all month. i'd love to see them! i'll be back to post my first one soon . . .
