Oh to have one more day to do what needs to be done. I say each of us has a memory that we've been meaning to scrapbook and have put off for tomorrow. I will further say, do it now. I worry that some day I wont remember things, Alzheimer runs in my family. One thing that saddens me with the thought of getting older, is some day I may not remember things. Of course I wont remember what I forgot, but it saddens me that my kids may miss out on something I procrastinated scrapbooking. Will they know that my dad was believed to be a stillborn, his mother was even told he was a stillborn. When all her sisters and the family went into the bedroom to tell my grandmother her son didn't make it, one aunt stayed in the kitchen with him to clean up. She saw him move slightly, grabbed him and started massaging his chest. Imagine if she had gone in with everyone else. Have I scrapbooked this? No, cause I'm just as bad as the rest of you :P I'll challenge everyone (and myself) to scrapbook some family memory or story that shouldn't be lost.

I know that while Abby will not ever be forgotten, I'm positive Brenda's daughters will appreciate reading their mom's memories and emotions for years to come.


Bonus: Take a moment to do a page on memories you want to make tomorrow. A bucket list of sorts.. name 5 things you want to do in the next year.

First - I'm enjoying the Shakespearean review - I really am!! And then I try to guess your challenge. . . sometimes I can - sometimes I can't.

Secondly - Memory loss? My son says I won't remember I made scrapbooks, nor where I put them. :)

Love this challenge Tami! (and thanks for the sweet words) I've gotten a bit distracted with all the Disney pics that I haven't done a page for my memory album for a bit, so this will get me to going on another one.

Have been enjoying the challenges with quotes too. Been fun to guess where Tami is going with the posts. Tami-what a story about your husband's birth! Thanks for sharing it. Love both Linda and Brenda's LO's. Got me thinking.

Gorgeous layouts on this thread. Bev, I really loved your story and I am totally amazed that you have the quilt in your chest. How did that come about? Are you a distant relative of these people? Maybe I missed something.
Gab, I am impressed! You have reason to be proud and you should also be proud of your craftmanship in making this layout. Great Job.

Bessie, would have been my great grandmother on my dad's side. (I was only 8 years old when she passed away)(my maiden name is Williams) When my Grandmother (my dad's mom) passed away I was given the quilt. I did not know the story, My dad has since passed away and I still didn't know the story. While doing research on my family, I connected with Don Heuer. His mother was married to Bessie's brother and they each made a quilt. He was telling me the story about how they put her quilt in the museum in Batesville, Arkansas and he sent me a picture of her quilt. I thought, hmmm, I have a quilt like that and dug it out of my cedar chest. Sure enough it's the one that Bessie made.

I made the same page for Don only using his mother's picture and the picture of her quilt that he has sent me.
