This is a fun challenge and the good news is that it can be done using Photoshop/PSE or Word! I used a computer to type my title and gave it some additional treatment by adding text to the actual word itself - in my example I typed the word Joy and overlaid it with a block of text repeating the phrase "Christmas fun".

This could be a fun technique to try with cards also. But wait, there's more! The even better news is that we have a December Work in Progress kit to give away to one lucky challenge participant!! Just for playing along with this challenge you could win tons of yummy scrappy goodness! Posted Image

Here's how I did it:
MS Word:
1. Create a new document and type the title word in a very large point - I used 180.
2. Add a borderless, no-fill text box as bit as the title. Add white text in a small font (10/12 point) and repeat it to fill the text box.
3. Layer the text box over the large title.

In Photoshop/PSE:
1. Create new canvas and type the title word in a very large point - I used 180.
2. Draw a text box the same size as your title and type your detail text in a smaller font and change the color to white.
3. Move the text directly over the title.
4. Clip the text onto the title (Ctrl-G in PSE, Ctrl-Alt-G in PS)

I printed the title on that Scenic Route grid background paper and cut around the top right corner so the patterned paper could slip under it Debbie.

Oh I like this Paula. I've been having lots of fun playing around with this nifty little technique. I think this one will become a firm favourite. I've done one layout and I might squeeze in another over the weekend and I have yet to finish my text in a circle challenge from last time (I'm afraid Christmas got in the way of that one). As the saying goes "I'll be back". {SMILIES_PATH}/biggrin.gif

hi..i was wondering how to print journaling straight on a 12x12 paper ? i have a 8.5x11 printer & till now have been printing on smaller strips of paper that would fit in the printer...but i've been curious as to how people have journaling directly on their 12x12 paper without cutting & pasting journaling ?? !! I know this qn is not related with this challenge but any input would help Posted Image

Hi Charmi -- I have a wide-format printer, which allows me to print on 12x12. With a regular printer you would have to cut down your paper to 8.5x12 to fit. You could piece the paper back together after printing, using patterned paper, ribbon or other embellishments to cover up the seam.
