Hello All!

We hope you'll join us for our May Photo Challenge!  We're going with the theme "Movies" and have come up with a great list.  There are forty titles to choose from and thirty days in May.  You can approach this challenge in two ways.  The first would be to use it as a photo a day challenge and simply eliminate ten prompts that don't inspire you.  The second would be to use the list as a scavenger hunt and see how many photos you can come up with throughout the month.  Two fun options!

If you are on Instagram, we have decided on the hashtag #GISMoviesinMay for our challenge.  Several of us will be blogging our photos as well.  We'll also plan on weekly threads here to share some of our favorites.

We'd love it if one of the digi crew could take the list below and make a cute jpeg that we could share on social media.  If you're up for the job, just do it and then paste to this thread for us all to enjoy.  Please include the list, the hashtag, and the get it scrapped web address.  (TIA!)

This sounds like fun, and I think I get the idea, but not sure I am entirely wrapping my head around it all. Could someone (Doris) post an example?

hmmm . . . the prompts are meant to get you thinking and come up with your own interpretation.  for example with "some like it hot" i might photograph my son's hot sauce bottle or peppers at the farmer's market or something that made me think of a warm summer's day.  i can see trying to take a jumping picture for "jumping jack flash" or a picture on a cliff's edge for "vertigo."  some of the prompts you might be able to relate to more than others, so there are extras so you can skip the ones that don't work for you but still end up with 30 for the month.

Sue not sure if this will help, but here is a link to a blog post with a few of my photos from the book title challenge that we did.

That might give you a sense of how you could approach the list :-) The best part is just like all of our games there is LOTS of wiggle room, very open to interpretation.

I saved it as a .png. I don't know if you can post that online or nt. I don't know enough about the different file types.

I posted my first today. I've been taking pictures, but I had to track down the list of Movies we were using for prompts.   I've e-mailed it to myself, so it should be easier for me to play along now.
